My Life and Calling

Kisa Emmanuel was born in November 1984 in Namugongo, an impoverished community in Eastern Uganda. He is the sixth of nine children born to an Anglican priest. Emmanuel’s birth was a miracle. His mother asked God for a male child and vowed that that child would serve Him his entire life, the pledge which God honored. On the eve of his birth, his mother was attacked by a raging bull, and in the struggle to save her life, she was bitten by a poisonous snake. A few hours later, her labor pains started. By the hour of birth, his mother had lost the strength to push him. Everyone thought they had both died. But by God’s grace she delivered safely. He was named “Kisa”, meaning God’s Grace, because God had favored his mother. The hand of God has always been with him since his birth. His life and experiences of the glory and presence of God, his divine encounters with the Lord and his ministry if shared, are a lifelong blessing to many people.
Emmanuel grew up in a poor family, where he used to sell pancakes from door to door and in schools and other public places at an early age of 5 years, so he could have an education and clothes.  He started school at 6 years in 1991 and finished in 2006 as a Medical Doctor. He gave his life to Jesus in 2004 and his ministry begun in 2005, when the Holy Spirit told him to start preaching the gospel from door to door. From day one of his ministry God has shown many signs and wonders and healing and many people have been set free. God has been adding to him many people to minister with him.
Today, Emmanuel is a Spirit-filled teacher of the Word, an evangelist and a pastor. His teachings are challenging and life-changing, helping thousands understand the unchangeable Word of God in a deeper dimension. Thousands upon thousands have come to know the Lord through his ministry, hundreds of gospel crusades and conferences have been held, and his ministry has been welcomed in many countries. His ministry reaches hundreds of secondary schools and institutions of higher learning, hospitals and prisons. The song of God’s salvation is heard in many streets of towns and trading centers in Uganda through street and market preaching.
Not only so, God placed a burden on Emmanuel’s heart, to offer hope to the suffering orphans and vulnerable children. Through this ministry over 300 children are helped.  Emmanuel wants his voice for the crying and afflicted children in Uganda to get to many people so they can help reach out to as many suffering children as there is.
In all this, he ascribes all glory and honor to God, and attributes all his successes, his joys and his strength to God.
